About the artist: 

Native New Orleans artist Terrance Osborne has always been fascinated by color and art and with the encouragement of his mother and brother, he began working with any materials he could get his hands on at a very young age. He developed his craft under the guidance of artist Richard Thomas and attended the renowned New Orleans Creative Center for Arts (N.O.C.C.A.) while in high school, later receiving a Fine Arts degree from Xavier University. He went on to teach for five years in the city’s public school system at Alice Hart. But after Hurricane Katrina, he decided to devote himself completely to his artistry, ultimately receiving national recognition for his work. He has designed campaigns for Nike and Heineken among others, and contributed designs for the official Jazz & Heritage Festival posters. In 2017, he and his wife Stephanie opened the Terrance Osborne Gallery at 3029 Magazine St. Uptown and it is a must-see on any visit. Inspired by the diversity of the city around him, his work is incredibly colorful and vibrant, filled with references to New Orleans culture.
